I agree: It's more the sheet metal than the hinges. I've been battling door 
problems on my 72 pig for years, and replacing hinges has only helped 
marginally. Check for rust in the hinge mounting areas and in the sheet metal where the 
hinges attach. Lower driver side door hinge is a prime candidate, especially 
here in the Northeast where road salt and ice get kicked up by the front tires 
to that location.
